Missouri: Independence Councilmember facing recall threats

Independence City Councilman Dan Hobart is facing recall threats over calls to move federal stimulus money from streetscape work (which some people claim benefits a single developer) to other public safety measures. 

Petitioners need about 1300 signatures (8% of registered voters) by November 4.
