Michigan: Petitions taken out against two Brighton School Board Members

Petitions have been taken out against Brighton School Board members John Conely and Bill Trombley. The Election Commission rejected the language on the first attempt due to factualness/clarity grounds.

The issue is Conley and Cross opposition to COVID pandemic protections -- Conley compared mask mandates to Nazi rules and "presented a slide show that contained misinformation about masks." Cross allegedly "intentionally coughed on a member of the public" and was unprepared for meetings.

Petitioners need 5472 signatures to get on the ballot.
