A second petition taken out against Brighton School Board members John Conely and Bill Trombley has been rejected by the Election Commission due to factualness/clarity grounds. No word on if the petitioner will appeal or try and third attempt.
The issue is Conley and Cross opposition to COVID pandemic protections -- Conley compared mask mandates to Nazi rules and "presented a slide show that contained misinformation about masks." Cross allegedly "intentionally coughed on a member of the public" and was unprepared for meetings.
Petitioners need 5472 signatures to get on the ballot.
