Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council Treasurer Gordon Harris is now facing an upcoming recall -- petitioners handed in 120 valid signatures, they needed 100. Chairman Cedric Cromwell is set to face an upcoming recall vote, as petitioners handed in 104 signatures over transparency issues, such as their salaries. Petitioners also aimed a recall at Vice Chairwoman Jessie "Little Doe" Baird but couldn't get the signatures.
The council members previously tried to expel three other council members from the governing board. There has been significant debate over spending for a proposed $1 billion casino-resort
