Massachusetts: Judge throws out attempt to stop certification of Fall River Mayor replacement race victory

A Superior Court Judge Thomas Perrino tossed out an attempt to stop the approval of the replacement vote that put Mayor Jasiel Correira back in office. Correia lost a recall vote, but won the replacement race. The judge noted that the charter commission "'removed express wording that allowed the subject of a recall election to be reelected' but they did not expressly forbid it."
