Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council Chair and Vice Chair facing recall efforts

Tribal Council Chairman Cedric Cromwell and Vice Chairwoman Jessie (Little Doe) Baird are facing recall efforts over claims of abuse of power. A fellow council member, Aaron Tobey Jr., filed the petitions and needs 135 for Cromwell and 129 for Baird. This recall is not a plurality vote. For the recall to oust the two, the vote has to exceed 40% turnout from the last election and 60% have to vote against.
