Colorado: Petitions against Estes Park Mayor failed; Signatures appear to hit number against Mayor Pro Tem, but new court case looks to toss it out

Petitioners are reportedly to have failed to get a recall against Mayor Todd Jirsa on the ballot -- they claimed to have 565 signatures and needed 553. Apparently, enough have been tossed out. The recall of Mayor Pro Tem Cody Walker seems to have enough signatures. They reported to hand in 585 for Walker and need 450, they got 454. However, there is a lawsuit to protest the petitions.

The issue was a change in the code in 2017 to allow commercial activity in a downtown park, which "inadvertently allowed commercial ventures almost anywhere in town or in the Estes Valley."
