Chairman Scott Barton is facing a July 17 recall vote after petitioners handed in 124 valid signatures. They needed 79. The issue is claims that he is spending too much sand and diesel fuel and that he has behaved abusively towards the town clerk, who is the wife of the candidate he beat in 2017, Thomas Franks. Franks is one of the petitioners.
Update: Barton lost to Ronnie Rowlee 57-42%
