Washington, DC: Signature collection ongoing against Council member

The recall effort against Council Member Jack Evans (D) is continuing, with petitioners claiming ovr 3100 signatures. The recall is over a probe into financial dealings has been delayed to a failure by the recall group to submit campaign finance paperwork. This could be a end the effort, as DC has a year end of term grace period, and Evans' term ends in 2020.

Petitioners need 5500 valids to get on the ballot.
