A new effort to recall Lamont Elementary School Board Trustees Gilberto Lopez Jr., Pablo Trevino, Ernesto Garay and Evelyn Velasquez is set to hand in signatures. Petitioners announced that they have over 1220 signatures and need 1165.
An earlier recall effort failed, with the County Clerk finding that not enough valid signatures were handed in.
The issue is complaints about leadership, specifically the decision to put an administrator on leave.
