Massachusetts: Provincetown Selectman facing petitions over election law violations

Provincetown selectmen chair Austin Knight is facing petitions over a election law violation last April. The former police chief encouraged on-duty police officers to vote for Knight and distribute his campaign signs from a police station.

Petitioners need 10% of registered voter within 20 days (not clear how many signatures are needed, but they are targeting 300). The fact that so many voters are out of town appears to be a hurdle. Provincetown last had a recall in 1995.
