Arizona: Camp Verde looks to cancel recall effort

The move to cancel the Vice-Mayor Bruce George recall November 3 recall is proceeding, with the Town Attorney claiming that the failure to follow a "strict compliance" requirement (petitioners didn't list if the signature gatherers were volunteers or paid. The issue came up when the Arizona Supreme Court held that substantial compliance was needed for the SEnate PResident Russell Pearce recall (can't find a good link to the article where I discuss this, but here's something). The legislature then adopted a strict compliance requirement, and it looks like this bill wasn't repealed.
