California: Modesto councilwoman facing continued recall effort

Modesto Councilwoman Jenny Kenoyer is facing another recall effort, all in her first year in office. The first attempt to recall Kenoyer was abandoned a few weeks ago. Petitioners need 3,361 signatures (20% of registereds) by late September. Petitioners claim they have about 1000. The issue is that she allegedly went back on promises to protect farmland (by voting to include a farming enclave in the city's growth plan) and is belligerent.  She seems to have had a bad showing at a town meeting.
