California: Santa Clara Council members threatened with recall effort

Santa Clara Councilmembers Suds Jain, Kevin Park and Anthony Becker are facing recall efforts. 

Santa Clara recently lost a battle to retain an at-large election system, which resulted in an all-white city council in a majority-minority city. Becker is challenging Mayor Lisa Gillmor for the mayoralty. There is discussion of Gillmor's perceived connections to the recall backers..
