Petition gathers are claiming that Commerce Councilwoman Lelia Leon attempted to intimidate signers and petitioners. Petitioners are gathering signatures against Mayor Joe Aguilar and City Councilmembers Ivan Altamirano, Tina Baca Del Rio, and Leon.
Petitioners claimed that Leon got out of her vehicle and yelled at a signer "don;t sign the petition" and continued to yell and claim that the Home Media Group was going to be indicted for perjury. It was also claimed that she followed the gatherers after getting in her car.
