The Clifton School Board recall, targeting members Reynaldo Tavison and Adam Chacon, are due in on March 11. 820 ballots have been mailed out, and at least 329 have been cast. Both of the members ran unopposed in their original election.
The issue is a tax increase that raised the schools budget from $500,000 to almost a $1 million. The district has about 60 students. One of the issues (promoted by the challengers) is closing the high school (which has 38 students).
