Texas: Granite Shoals Mayor and Councilor recall misses November ballot

The recall effort against Granite Shoals Mayor Carl Brugger and Councilor Bruce Jones has missed the deadline to get on the November ballot, but petitioners are still collecting to get on for May 2021. The recall is over a vote to give the City Manager a raise. Two councilmembers tried to rescind it but failed in a 5-2 vote. 

Jones is running unopposed for reelection on the November ballot. Petitioners need 152 signatures (6.5 percent of registered voters) to get on the ballot. They claim to have 162.
