Maine: Petitions taking out against Caribou City Councilor

Caribou City Councilor Doug Morrell is facing a recall effort. No word on what the recall is about. Petitioners would need 1112 signatures in 60 business days. A recall would be held as a special election in February 2021.

Update: The signature effort failed. Petitioners claim to have gathered 1059 signatures, but only had 15 submitted and verified. The recall appeared to be over a legal question of whether Morrell was up-to-date on his taxes.
