Massachusetts: Scarborough Superintendent tries to prevent voter registration drive focused on school board recall

Superintendent Julie Kukenberger has asked students to refrain from a voter registration drive during school hours, which is taking place at the same time as a recall against three school board members, Chairwoman Donna Beeley, and members Cari Lyford and Jodi Shea. Petitioners need 2622 signatures -- the group claims they have 2150.

The issue comes over the firing of a principal and an 83-1 faculty no confidence vote against the Superintendent.
