Washington: Judge to rule on Pierce County Prosecutor recall effort

The recall attempt against Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist is before Superior Court Judge Jay Roof, where he will issue a written decision on whether the recall attempt meets the state's cause/malfeasance standard.

Two of his deputy prosecuting attorneys have filed whistleblower complaints, and he has been hit with a number of complaints and lawsuits. If allowed to go forward, petitioners would need more than 38,000 signatures in six months.
