Hailey Mayor Fritz Haemmerle and city council members Carol Brown and Martha Burke are facing petitions after they appealed a federal court ruling that stopped the city from collecting $2.5 million in fees from a company and struck down a requirement that the company (Old Cutters) build 20 affordable housing units.
Petitioners would need 748 signatures (20% of registereds).
Petitioners would also need more votes against the officials than they received in the last election.
Check the article out -- there's an interesting discussion of the lawsuit.
