Michigan: Leader of Algonac recall effort denied reappointment to planning commission

Amanda Gougeon was a leader of the recall effort against Algonac Councilmembers Irene Bird. She has since been rejected for reappointment to the planning commission. Petitioners have submitted 396 and 398 signatures -- they need 331 (which is still be reviewed). The issue is a meeting regarding a Bible Church and proposed Dream Center and the removal of the City Manager.
