Nevada: New law makes recalls harder
A new law just signed by the governor requires that all recall petition signers must have actually voted in the election when the official got into office. This was in keeping with a recent Nevada Supreme Court decision. Petition-gathers will also have to follow the financial/reporting requirements even if they don't get enough signatures. The cumulative effect will undoubtedly make recalls even harder and less likely in the Silver State (they were already rare there, do to the vagaries of the law).
