Labour MP Keith Vaz has agreed not to
run for reelection, thereby stopping a potential recall fight. Vaz faced an automatic recall petition after the House of Commons found that there was enough evidence to suspend him for six months after he allegedly expressed "a willingness to help buy cocaine for male prostitutes." A 32 year veteran MP, Vaz has had other issues during his tenure. Because there is an upcoming election, Vaz will avoid the recall by not running in the race.
