Nevada: Senator who faced recall effort named Majority Leader

Nevada Senate Majority Leader Kelvin Atkinson (D) resigned after admitting to misusing campaign funds. He is replaced as leader by Senator Nicole Cannizaro (D), who was facing recall petitions launched by Republicans. The Cannizaro recall was rejected and the state Supreme Court just heard oral arguments as to whether the recall should be allowed to go forward.
