Nevada: Las Vegas Councilman resigns in face of recall effort

Councilman Steve Seroka (D) resigned in the face of a recall over claims of an anti-development stance, specifically his opposition to developing homes on a golf course.One of the construction unions that supported Seroka in his election was a big backer of the recall.

Petitions had not been handed in yet, but they needed 1850 signatures (of voters who voted in Seroka's last election) by March 11.
