New Mexico: Los Alamos County Council Chair facing recall effort

County Council Chair David Izraelevitz is facing a recall effort by a Greg White, who is running for County Sheriff, claiming 31 counts of wrongdoing -- New Mexico is a malfeasance standard/judicial recall state so the petitioner would need to meet a legal standard to get the recall on the ballot. White claims that Israelevitz is not allowed to serve due to term limits and that he advocated the overthrow of the the State of New Mexico.
