California: Judge Persky recuses self from all criminal cases, moves back to Civil Court

Judge Aaron Persky, who is facing recall threats though signature-gathering can't start until next April, has requested to be moved back to just hearing civil cases. Persky has said that he is looking to remove distractions from the court.
