Connecticut: Stratford Council Chairwoman facing recall threats

Chairwoman Beth Daponte (D) is facing a recall threat. The issue is a tax increase approved by the council.

This would be the first recall I can remember in Connecticut. Petitioners need about 450 signatures, and the vote would be a one-day, two-step version.
